How We Work
How We Show Up Matters
The cannabis industry can be built better than it has been. For us, that means growing responsibly, saying what we know and what we don't, treating people well, and being accountable for what the business does to the community around it.
Science and Education. We say "research is still developing" instead of filling the gap with a claim. We share what we learn with customers, farmers, and policymakers, and our team teaches, publishes, and testifies. We publish a book about understanding cannabis by intention rather than by THC number.
Integrity. We publish lab results that could show a problem. We decline to make claims that would sell more. We grow outdoors when indoor would be easier.
Love. Compassion is the foundation of the cannabis community, and we intend to carry it forward through the communities we support and the way we answer an email from someone who is confused.
Equity. An industry worth being proud of has to acknowledge who prohibition harmed. We support policy and efforts around restorative justice, directly impacted individuals, and veterans. One of our co-owners is a Navy veteran.
Balance. An employee-centered workplace, fair relationships with local farmers and businesses, and growth that doesn't come out of our people, our partners, or the land.
